Nathan Cowan Memorial Fund - Queen's University
The Nathan Richard Cowan Memorial Award
This award was established in October 2002 by family, friends, the Faculty of Applied Science and the Department of Economics in memory of Nathan. It is awarded on the basis of financial need to second, third, or fourth year students enrolled in the Faculty of Applied Science or the Department of Economics. The award is alternately granted to students enrolled in the Faculty of Applied Science in even-numbered years to students enrolled in the Faculty of Applied Science, and to students enrolled in the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science in odd-numbered years. Candidates will be student athletes with preference given to a member of the Queen's University Sailing Team, who may demonstrate aspirations to participate at a higher level of competition. The award will be administered in compliance with all O.U.A. and C.I.S. regulations for athletic awards at Queen’s.
